Zombie is 100% Adam Cotton screaming genius. I heard him jamming like a madman one night or day in the studio and luckily he was recording. He gave me the, I don't know, 10-15 minute recording of the jam as he'd often do. But, I had my ears set on this one part that I'd heard that ripped the paint off the walls and when I found it, I told him that it had to go on the record. The recording was pretty live and rough, but that's what was so hot about it. It just fucking ripped. We remembered that he'd made another crazy stuttering beat the day he made the Scared Coyote beat and that was it...Zombie was born. Yes, I could have typed, "Zombie rose from the dead" and I did...but then swiftly deleted it.
